Given the new free e-check payment option, this action will eliminate the County’s absorption of EFT costs in the payment of debts owed to the County through the Social Services Agency REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION AND BACKGROUND On August 13, 2013, the Board of Supervisors approved a waiver of EFT convenience fees for the Social Services Agency related to the use of the then-existing fee-based electronic payment options for public assistance clients and In-Home Supportive Services Providers.
