County of Santa Clara Clerk of the Board 130281 DATE: September 15, 2026 TO: Board of Supervisors FROM: Curtis Boone, Clerk of the Board SUBJECT: Planning Commissioner Travel RECOMMENDED ACTION Approve travel to Los Angeles for Planning Commissioners Roseryn Hessabi, Bob Levy, Michael Brilliot, and Jennifer Hetterly to attend the American Planning Association California 2026 Conference scheduled for October 3 through 6, 2026. FISCAL IMPLICATIONS There is no additional impact to the General Fund as a result of this action. The total cost of approximately $12,000 ($3,000 per person), including conference fees, transportation, hotel, and meals, will be funded from a Department of Planning and Development trust fund account maintained on behalf of the Planning Commission. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION The County Travel Policy requires prior approval from the Board of Supervisors for travel by members of County Commissions.
