FISCAL IMPLICATIONS There is no fiscal impact to the General Fund. Sufficient funds are available in Fiscal Year 2026-2027 Road Fund account 0023-4001-5280000 (Special Department Expense) to install the necessary signage, striping, and markings. Department Staff will perform the work. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION Uvas Road and Watsonville Road are rural, two-lane county-maintained roadways located in the unincorporated area near Morgan Hill, west of Highway 101. These roads intersect at a Tintersection currently controlled by a one-way stop on the Uvas Road approach to Watsonville Road. In response to requests and inquiries from area residents, this intersection was included in the South County Traffic Study—a regional study of the county-maintained road network south of San Jose.
