Approve amendments to the 2026 Legislative Policies Document and add County support for Assembly Bill 1761 by Assemblymember Chris Rogers and Senate Bill 870 by Senator Dave Cortese. FISCAL IMPLICATIONS There are no fiscal implications directly associated with the recommended actions. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION Intergovernmental Relations (IGR), in the Office of the County Executive, provides a monthly 2026 Legislative Platform report to the Board of Supervisors related to legislative activities in Sacramento and Washington, D.C. State Update The California Legislature is in its second year of the two-year session (2025-2026).
