FISCAL IMPLICATIONS There will be no net impact on the General Fund for the one-time inter-Office budget transfer from Object 1 to Object 2 as there are sufficient salary savings anticipated in Object 1 in the current fiscal year. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION AND BACKGROUND The Independent Defense Counsel Office (IDO) is constitutionally and statutorily required to provide legal services to indigent defendants under Penal Code Section 987.2 and Government Code 27706.
