Palestinian culture is presented through books, poetry, music, proverbs, and handicrafts made with cross-stitch embroidery patterns with motifs that often reflect ethnic or regional identity and honor a rich cultural legacy from centuries past ; WHEREAS, for over 2,000 years, the Palestinian people have exemplified their core values-including love of family, commitment to education, hospitality, and reverence for land-and they now share these values with the residents of Santa Clara County; WHEREAS, Palestinian residents of Santa Clara County now number approximately 30,000 and have made major contributions to the county in the fields of business, engineering, law, and medicine, as well as through their cultural talents in the areas of poetry, literature, dance, and music; and WHEREAS, Palestinians living in Santa Clara County will hold the 25 th Annual Palestinian Cultural Day on Saturday, May 16, 2026, honoring the local Palestinian community and its contributions to the county's civic life, as well as the historical and cultural...
