Docusign Envelope ID: 3D6AC004-ED28-4146-9416-DAA34E373F8A WHEREAS, Kathy Torgersen has brought her vision, leadership, and extraordinary fundraising talents to a wide range of organizations; WHEREAS, her strategic fundraising and event-planning expertise have played a key role in growing organizations such as the Palo Alto Community Fund, Foothill-De Anza Foundation, and Foundation for a College Education; WHEREAS, Kathy has devoted countless hours and energy supporting Ukraine, from producing fundraising events that raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for humanitarian relief, to personally driving urgently needed vehicles and medical supplies into Ukraine; WHEREAS, in addition to her inspiring volunteer service, Kathy is also a world class athlete, having completed the Hawaii Ironman Triathlon and competed as a member of the USA Triathlon Team at five World Championships; and WHEREAS, in recognition of her exceptional service and dedication to community well-being, she is receiving the 2026 Avenidas Lifetimes of Achievement Award, honoring her lifetime of contributions.
