Docusign Envelope ID: FF008A00-02FE-4778-AD1C-80CABDB1184A COMMENDATION OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF SANTA CLARA HONORING PAZ GUZMAN FOR EXEMPLARY PUBLIC SERVICE WHEREAS, Paz Guzman is retiring on May 1, 2026, after thirty-two years of dedicated service to the County of Santa Clara; and WHEREAS, Paz began her career with the County on January 4, 1994, in the Public Health Department’s Child Health and Disability Prevention Program as an extra help community worker, ensuring children’s well-child exams were properly documented and helping families connect with specialty services; and WHEREAS, in 1996 Paz was promoted to Public Health Assistant with the Maternal, Child and Adolescent Health Program, where she built strong relationships with community partners, shared critical information about health and social services, staffed health fairs, and helped connect families to resources; and WHEREAS, for more than twenty years Paz provided bilingual child passenger safety education and free car seats to thousands of community residents, working collaboratively with Safe Kids Worldwide and the California Department of Public Health, remaining up to date on evolving...
