RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF SANTA CLARA DELEGATING AUTHORITY TO THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY, OR DESIGNEE, TO SUBMIT GRANT APPLICATIONS AND TO NEGOTIATE, EXECUTE, AMEND, OR TERMINATE RESULTING GRANT AGREEMENTS WITH THE CALIFORNIA GOVERNOR’S OFFICE OF EMERGENCY SERVICES FOR THE VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN VERTICAL PROSECUTION PROGRAM WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of the County of Santa Clara desires to undertake a certain project designated the Violence Against Women Vertical Prosecution Program (VV), to be funded from funds made available by the California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services (CalOES), with the County having oversight and responsibility; WHEREAS, CalOES requires that grant applicants provide a resolution of the Board of Supervisors granting authority to apply for this grant, with specific grant periods designated; and, WHEREAS, the funds received from CalOES will be used to support the staffing of the Office of the District Attorney’s Victim Services Unit.
