(Office of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors) REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION Rebecca Ross has been a valued employee of the County of Santa Clara for 25 years. Details of her public service career at the County are outlined in the attached commendation. WHEREAS, Rebecca Ross began her distinguished career with the County of Santa Clara in 2001, as an Appraiser I in the Office of the Assessor, demonstrating exceptional dedication and professionalism from the beginning; WHEREAS, Rebecca continued her upward trajectory within the Office of the Assessor, serving as an Appraiser II from 2002 to 2005, a Senior Appraiser until 2009, a Supervising Appraiser until 2012, and Assistant Chief, Assessment Standards Services and Exemptions until 2021, consistently contributing to the department’s efficiency and excellence; WHEREAS, Rebecca brought her wealth of experience and collaborative spirit to the Office of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors as a Program Manager II in 2021, where she has served with distinction, leading the Assessment Appeals Division and enhancing public service delivery through her thoughtful analysis and operational and institutional insight; WHEREAS, Rebecca played an integral role in the further development of the Assessment Appeals Database Management (AADM) system, implementation of a new browser user interface, and ongoing efforts to enhance policies and procedures in the Assessment Appeals Division, greatly...
