Docusign Envelope ID: 448A9B42-C8C7-8503-822A-4C41ED3B1947 COMMENDATION OF THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF SANTA CLARA HONORING JOHN BUCHINSKI FOR EXEMPLARY PUBLIC SERVICE WHEREAS, John Buchinski is retiring on July 24, 2026, after thirty-three years of dedicated service to the County of Santa Clara; and WHEREAS, John began his career with the County on November 6, 1989, as a physical therapist at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center, where he delivered high-quality evaluation and treatment to patients with diverse and complex diagnoses; and WHEREAS, John transferred to California Children’s Services (CCS) in 1991 where he strengthened his expertise in pediatric physical therapy in the Medical Therapy Program; and WHEREAS, John was then promoted to Supervising CCS Therapist in 1999 where he supervised a team of occupational therapists, physical therapists, clerical staff, and therapy aides at multiple sites throughout the County; and WHEREAS, John was promoted to Chief CCS Therapist in 2019 where he administered and directed the entire CCS Medical Therapy Program for the County of Santa Clara. He provided statewide coordination with numerous State, County and educational...
