Throughout his tenure, Mr. Ivie advanced through progressively responsible roles— Respiratory Care Practitioner, Supervising Respiratory Care Practitioner, and ultimately Chief Respiratory Care Practitioner—demonstrating sustained leadership, operational reliability, and commitment to high-quality patient care. Mr. Ivie played a critical role in supporting respiratory care operations during periods of significant organizational change, including SCVH’s acquisitions of O’Connor Hospital, Saint Louise Regional Hospital, and Regional Medical Center. WHEREAS, Chief Respiratory Care Practitioner, Craig Ivie, concludes a distinguished career with Santa Clara Valley Healthcare (SCVH) after more than three decades of dedicated service to Santa Clara County, beginning in 1991 as a Respiratory Care Practitioner, where he provided skilled clinical care and contributed to the strength and reliability of one of the system’s most essential acute-care service lines; and WHEREAS, Mr. Ivie advanced to Supervising Respiratory Care Practitioner in 1998, assuming responsibility for supporting respiratory care operations, guiding clinical staff, and ensuring high-quality respiratory therapy services across SCVH, demonstrating steady leadership and deep operational expertise during periods of significant clinical demand and organizational change; and WHEREAS, through his continued commitment to clinical excellence, operational reliability, and staff development, Mr. Ivie progressed to Chief Respiratory Care Practitioner in 2002, a role in which he served for more than two decades, overseeing respiratory care services, supporting high acuity clinical teams, and strengthening department operations through numerous systemwide transitions,...
