(Arenas) FISCAL IMPLICATIONS There is a one-time cost of $500. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION The grant in the amount of $500 is proposed by Supervisor Arenas to be used in support of the San Jose Garden Club in their work to help beautify our surroundings in South San Jose. This grant will allow the Club to perform trimming, weeding, and trash disposal as well as support the purchase of fertilizer, ties, wood chips, and plants to keep the landscape fresh and vibrant. The San Jose Garden Club is recognized for its long-standing service to the community, maintaining landscaped areas near our children’s schools, specifically Oak Ridge Elementary, Santa Teresa High School, and Oak Grove High School.
