Docusign Envelope ID: 2540EF1A-AEBA-8AE2-80EC-142BEB6A9FFC SIDE LETTER BETWEEN COUNTY OF SANTA CLARA AND UNION OF AMERICAN PHYSICIANS AND DENTISTS (UAPD) June 10, 2026 Child/Adolescent Psychiatrists Pager Call During Non-Business Hours The County of Santa Clara and The Union of American Physicians and Dentists (UAPD) ( collectively "the patties") enter into this side letter of agreement (Agreement) to address the need for acute psychiatric services for pediatric and adolescent patients. In 2020, the County Board of Supervisors authorized the expansion of acute psychiatric services, to include pediatrics and adolescents. To this end, the County will be opening the Behavioral Health Pavillion (BHP), currently scheduled for November 2026. The BHP will provide adult emergency and inpatient psychiatric services as well as pediatric and adolescent emergency and inpatient psychiatric services. The addition of the aforementioned child/adolescent services requires child/adolescent psychiatrists available on pager call during non-business hours. 1.
