(Social Services Agency) FISCAL IMPLICATIONS There are no fiscal implications associated with the receipt of this informational report. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION The COVID-19 pandemic highlighted the essential role that childcare plays in supporting children, families, businesses, and a thriving economy. On February 28, 2023 (Item No. 8), the Board of Supervisors (“Board”) approved recommendations relating to administration of a childcare and early education infrastructure grant program (Santa Clara County Childcare Expansion Grant Program, “CEGP, or “Grant Program”), including allocating $15,000,000 in one-time American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds.
