Lorenz, Chief Executive Officer, SCVH SUBJECT: Resolution Delegating Authority to Execute Affiliation Agreements RECOMMENDED ACTION Adopt Resolution delegating authority to the County Executive, or designee, to negotiate, execute, amend, or terminate affiliation agreements and amendments to agreements relating to providing clinical and educational experiences effective July 1, 2026, following approval by County Counsel as to form and legality, and approval by the Office of the County Executive. Delegation of authority shall expire on June 30, 2031. FISCAL IMPLICATIONS There are no fiscal implications associated with approving the delegation of authority. Funds for the actual affiliation agreements, once executed, will be covered by Santa Clara Valley Healthcare’s (SCVH) Fiscal Year 2025-2026 budget for services and supplies. In addition, these agreements typically have minimal or no financial cost.
