County of Santa Clara Employee Services Agency 128178 DATE: April 14, 2026 TO: Board of Supervisors FROM: David Huebner, Director, Employee Services Agency SUBJECT: Travel for Defined Contribution Plans Committee to the CPPC Conference in Beaver Creek, Colorado RECOMMENDED ACTION Approve travel to Beaver Creek, Colorado for the Defined Contribution Plans Committee members Linda Castaldi, Connie Chew, David Phillips, Kristina Seldal, and Peggy Tomasso to attend the Colorado Public Plan Coalition Conference on August 19 through August 21, 2026. FISCAL IMPLICATIONS There is no impact to the General Fund as a result of the recommended action. The total cost of in-person conference attendance for five Defined Contribution Plans Committee (DCPC) members is $11,945 and the cost will be reimbursed by Defined Contribution Plans assets. REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION The County Travel Policy requires prior approval from the Board of Supervisors for travel of committees such as the DCPC.
