County of Santa Clara Board of Supervisors Supervisorial District Two Supervisor Betty Duong 125725 DATE: April 14, 2026 TO: Board of Supervisors FROM: Betty Duong, Supervisor SUBJECT: Sponsorship for NCAVAD RECOMMENDED ACTION Consider recommendations relating to sponsorship of NCAVAD, Inc. (Duong) Possible action: a. Approve waiver of Board of Supervisor's Policy 3.68.4.2 which requires approval of sponsorship at least 30 days before the event or activity. b. Approve County sponsorship of NCAVAD, Inc., in the amount of $1,000 from the Supervisorial District Two allocation in the Office of the Clerk of the Board Fiscal Year 2025-2026 budget, to support its sixth annual NCAVAD Community Dental Care event for low-income and underserved individuals. REASONS FOR THE RECOMMENDATION The Office of County Supervisor Betty Duong supports this annual volunteer-led event that provides free, comprehensive dental care to over 120 low-income and underserved individuals to restore health, dignity, and hope.
