(Ellenberg) BACKGROUND The Public Safety and Justice Committee met on January 23, 2026. Public Comment There were two speakers on public comment. Consent Calendar The following items were added and approved on the consent calendar: Item 6. Receive report from the Office of the District Attorney relating to the Mariposas Resiliency Center. Item 9. Receive report from Custody Health Services relating to operational updates Additional direction was included on Item 13, the report from the Office of Pretrial Services relating to annual population trends and the use of risk assessment tools. Supervisor Ellenberg directed that a report come back to PSJC with additional detail on the County’s reliance on EMP and options for reducing the number of individuals at this level of supervision.
