REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION The Defined Contribution Plans Committee (“Committee”) performs the fiduciary duties for the County of Santa Clara Defined Contribution Plans to act in the best interest of the plan members. The Board of Supervisors (“Board”) appoints five Committee members: two union representatives; one County retiree; and two current or former County employees. The Director, Finance Agency and Employee Benefits Director serve in the Committee’s other two seats.
