Rosen, District Attorney SUBJECT: Resolution Delegating Authority to extend the Organized Retail Theft Vertical Prosecution Grant RECOMMENDED ACTION Adopt Resolution delegating authority to the District Attorney, or designee, to submit grant applications to the California Board of State and Community Corrections for Organized Retail Theft Vertical Prosecution Grant Program funds to investigate and prosecute organized retail theft, and to negotiate, execute, amend, or terminate resulting grant agreements in the amount to be determined based on future grant awards for period October 1, 2023 through June 1, 2028, following approval by County Counsel as to form and legality, and approval by the Office of the County Executive. Delegation of authority shall expire on June 1, 2028. FISCAL IMPLICATIONS There are no fiscal implications associated with the recommended action.
