The Vietnamese American community has flourished in Santa Clara County over the past fifty years, making invaluable contributions to the region's economy, culture, and overall quality of life; WHEREAS, founded on December 20, 1992, the Northwestern Association of Fonner Viet Political Prisoners (Khu Hoi Cuu Tu Nhan Chfnh Tri Tay Bite Hoa K51) was established in Northern California to support refugees from the Humanitarian Operation (HO) program and the boat people movement.
